The Teresian House is currently hiring a Human Resource  Assistant. This opportunity consists of working Full Time Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm!  Thank you for considering Teresian House in your choice for employment!

This position is responsible for assisting with the recruiting (including on or off-site job fairs), on-boarding, and orientation processes, inputting and maintaining accurate personnel and employee medical files (physical and electronic), and meeting support needs of HR Director, supervisors and employees.

Qualified candidates for a Human Resource Assistant position will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources/Personnel Administration or at least three years' Human Resources' experience in healthcare. 
  • Accurate typing/data entry skills. 
  • Efficient clerical skills including computer literacy of Microsoft office suite required.
  • Experience with Kronos or other similar HRIS/payroll software and Publisher preferred. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and extreme confidentiality required. 
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines required. 
  • Must have the ability to be versatile, adapt to varied job functions and work with well with constant interruption. 
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary.
  • Must be familiar with and abide by all federal, state, and local laws when dealing with personnel issues. 

Additional Responsibilities will include:

  • Greets candidates, schedules interviews, makes job offers, verifies licenses/certifications and completes all paperwork associated with the recruiting process.  Maintains communication with supervisors at to candidate status in the process.  Completes all data entry processes for new hire files.
  • Tracks and processes all employee performance evaluations and related paperwork.
  • Prepares general orientation schedule and coordinates paperwork associated with pre-employment requirements, physicals, CHRC fingerprinting submission and clearance, etc.
  • Answers phone and fax inquires and in-person employee requests. Files paperwork for employee personnel and medical files.  Completes required mailings.
  • Manages paperwork for employee terminations and record storage.
  • Provides support for administration of employee benefits.
  • Orders supplies for the HR office.  Keeps office space organized and tidy and well-stocked for supplies/paperwork needed.  Must also be detail oriented and organized.  May provide back-up support for mailroom/copy room when needed.
  • Provides support for employee functions organized and produced by the Human Resources Department.
  • Must have a high skill level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Must be organized, self-directed, self-motivated and able to prioritize.
  • Must be willing to perform other related duties as requested or assigned by the HR Director.
